For the past year and a half (oh my goodness, has it been that long?) we have been working on a full length album with engineer/producer, Brian Paulson (Slint, Beck, Rosebuds, Wilco, Superchunk, Archers of Loaf, etc) - with initial help from Nick Petersen at Track and Field Recording - in our hometown of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We are happy to say that it is finished and has been mixed and we are awaiting its release date in early spring 08.

In other news, we have added a bassist: Eddie Sanchez of Fin Fang Foom/Ben Davis & the Jetts/among others. We're not sure just how we snagged the guy from his dozen other musical projects, but we're all rosey-cheeked about the unique low end he has added.

Thanks for the supportive emails and the vegan recipes. We hope everyone is enjoying the summer and we can't wait to get back on the road. We bought a van just for the occasion. We intend to use it.
